Speaker: Philip Caine.

Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Philip’s working life began as a chef and hotel manager and was followed by a 30-year career in the oil industry in places such as the North Sea, Algeria, Nigeria. His time in Kazakhstan and Russia was particularly exciting, not to mention the most dangerous place of all - Baghdad where he spent 7 years. After retiring, he began writing and is the author of the Jack Castle and Shackleton Blister series of adventure novels.
